The Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry hit the road this summer with special guest the Plain White T’s. For fans of rock music, the trio of artists makes for one exciting show.
The Plain White T’s will open the show with an acoustic set. Best known for their hit single “Delilah,” the band focuses on more on the music than putting on a show. Expect to hear their famous hit as well as other fan favorites, like “Rhythm of Love.”
Daughtry will take the stage just before the Goo Goo Dolls. The former American Idol finalist will perform crowd favorites like “Wild Hearts,” “Battleships,” and “Home.” Daughtry’s set list is a fine mix of both band and fan favorites that are sure to please the crowd.
The lead vocalist of the band, Chris Daughtry, is best known for his appearance on the fifth season of the hit TV show competition American Idol. Daughtry’s debut album, released in 2006, peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold more than a million copies in the United States alone. To this date, the band has sole more than 20 million albums worldwide.
Taking center stage, the Goo Goo Dolls will perform hits and album favorites from their 28 year career. Expect to hear their biggest hits, “Slide,” “Black Balloon,” “Iris” and “Name” as well as some new songs like “Caught in the Storm.”
The band has come a long way since their early days in Buffalo, New York. Throughout their career, the band has earned four Grammy awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Iris.” In 2012, “Iris” ranked #1 on the Billboard “Top 100 Pop Songs 1992-2012” chart.
The Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry tour kicks off in Wallingford, CT and comes to a close in Essex Junction, VT.
