Florida Georgia Line announced that they will be hitting the road again this year. The band has been touring the last few years and doesn’t show any signs of slowing up. This year, the band is bringing two very special guests with them to share in on the excitement: Thomas Rhett and Frankie Ballard.
The band is promoting the tour in an effort to promote their sophomore album Anything Goes. Released in October of 2014, the album has been a major success. Hit singles, Dirt and Sun Daze. Both come from Anything Goes.
The album shot up to Gold status and reached #1 on the Billboard 200 charts.
Dirt has reached platinum status and has allowed the duo to add a fresh, new sound to their album.
Florida Georgia Line’s opening acts are nothing short of amazing.
Rhett’s fame keeps going up and up. While he has only released It Goes Like This, his only studio album, he has released a few singles since. Make Me Wanna was released in 2014 and was not part of the It Goes Like This album.
The single reached #7 on the US Hot Country charts.
Rhett’s song It Goes Like This achieved Platinum status in the US. Get Me Some of That has went Gold. Both songs come from his only studio album to date.
Frankie Ballard is the last country star on our list. The 32 year old Nashville singer has been active for 8 years and has released just two albums: Frankie Ballard and Sunshine & Whiskey. His debut album sold just 11,000 copies, but Sunshine & Whiskey sold 37,000 albums.
While not as popular as his counterparts, you may know Ballard from his very successful Helluva Life single which has reached Gold status.
Frankie is expected to be on stage first and will be performing Helluva Life for sure.
Next on stage will be Thomas Rhett. With no set list announced, we can speculate that Rhett will perform Make Me Wanna and It Goes Like This.
Florida Georgia Line has also not released a set list as of yet. Recent performances show that the duo plays Dirt, Sun Daze, This Is How We Roll and about 19 songs in total while on stage. Interestingly, the group has also been known to cover Dr. Dre and Wiz Khalifa songs while on tour. Bruno Mars’ Treasure is also another song that the duo is known for covering.
