Austin, Texas is going to be in for a concert of a lifetime on May 13th; the first date of Dave Matthews Band’s 2015 tour. Following last year’s tour, the band is sticking with their two set layout where they’ll play one set in electric and one set in acoustic. Long and fun, the sets are perfect for fans that want to hear the Dave Matthews Band rock out like never before.
The tour is scheduled to go all the way through to September 13th where the band will play the tour’s final concert in Phoenix.
Fans excited for the tour will be happy to know that tickets have not yet been released to the public. February 13th will be the first day of ticket sales. Sales will start at 10 am sharp, so act quickly if you plan to attend.
Dave Matthews Band is doing something exciting this year. If you were lucky enough to see them on their last tour, you don’t have to worry about the same set list being used. The band has made the announcement that they will be going through all venue set lists for the past 5 years to ensure fans can hear all new songs.
The band is so adamant that fans should hear something different that they’re even going to check out venues within a 1 hour distance. Set lists from these venues will also be altered.
Last year the band’s first set was acoustic. Fans truly loved the acoustic sound, but they did want something a little different. The band has taken all of the fan’s responses into account so that they change up their acoustic sets to match what was missing last year.
The second set will be in electric format.
Pay for What You Get and Stolen Away were two acoustic songs that did very well last year. Fans can expect these two songs plus many more to be added to the list. The variety is said to be enhanced as diehard fans begged for more songs to be added last year. While the performance was extremely good, the electric set had a much wider range of songs.
The Dave Matthews Band has not stated if an opening act would be added. Critics have stated that with both sets being played by the band, it’s unlikely that an opening act will be added.
The 2015 summer tour will be fun, exciting and have two amazing sets played by the iconic band.
