The Zac Brown Band is hitting the road this summer on their Great American Road Trip Tour. This is a major tour for ZBB as they’ve added an eighth member to the band – Matt Mangano. This is Matt’s first time touring as part of the band, but you may remember him from past on-stage guest performances and his studio work.
In addition to Matt on bass, fans can expect more surprises from the band. John Driskell Hopkins will not only play bass and sing, he’ll also play the guitar, ukulele, baritone guitar, banjo and the upright bass.
Kacey Musgraves will join the band as their opening act during their Florida shows, but fans can expect the unexpected during the show. Sure, all the band’s hits will be played, but be ready to hear some fantastic covers of some great songs, like Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb. ZBB has been known to open their shows with acoustic sets featuring covers of hits like Billy Joel’s Piano Man or the Seven Bridges Road by the Eagles.
Expect to hear all of your favorites, including Keep Me in Mind, Colder Weather, All Right and Chicken Fried. ZBB gives nothing less than an energetic performance filled with surprises that really gives fans their money’s worth. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you better hurry – most of ZBB’s shows are already sold out.
Zac Brown Band is a three-time Grammy winning band who has sold more than six million albums and produced ten number one hits. Based in Atlanta, Georgia ZBB has recorded five studio albums and has made appearances at several major music festivals, including Bannaroo Music Festival and The Hangout Music Festival.
