Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company are teaming up again for another hit summer tour. The duo of acts had one of the season’s most successful tours in 2013 and return again in 2014 for a 10 date tour in July.
The co-headlining tour will kick off on the East Coast and come to a close in the Midwest. Lynyrd Skynyrd original members Gary Rossington, Johnny Van Zant, Michael Cartellone and Rickey Medlocke will perform. Bad Company’s current lineup includes original members Mick Ralphs, Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke as well as new members Howard Leese and Todd Ronning.
With two rock legends coming together on one stage, fans can expect a memorable show and to hear all of their favorites, like “Freebird” and “Sweet Home Alabama” from Lynyrd Skynyrd and “Bad Company” and “Can’t Get Enough” from Bad Company.
Lynyrd Skynrd is well-known for bringing the southern hard-rock genre to the mainstream in the 1970s. The band’s original name was The Pretty Ones, and the group went through two name changes before coming up with Lynyrd Skynrd. The band’s best known for the hits listed above as well as “Simple Man,” “Comin’ Home,” “That Smell,” and “What’s Your Name?” Lynyrd Skynrd is considered an icon and legend in the classic rock genre.
Bad Company is an English rock band founded in 1973 and enjoyed tremendous success during the 1970s. The band is best known for their singles “Bad Company,” “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” and “Good Lovin’ Gone Bad.” Their hits are staples on classic rock radio stations and the band has released 12 albums throughout their long career.
Although Lynyrd Skynyrd will be touring throughout the summer, the duo of classic rock legends will only be performing together for 10 dates in July. For classic rock fans, this is a tour that simply cannot be missed.
