Miranda Lambert’s The Platinum Tour
It doesn’t get more country than megastar Miranda Lambert. Arguably the biggest female artist of the past 5 years, Lambert is tough, says what’s on her mind and is as fierce as they come. The Platinum tour is scheduled to hit 30 cities and begins in August in Sacramento. The tour’s end is fitting with the last stop being in the tropical paradise of Honolulu on September 20th.
Miranda Lambert has kept much of the tour a secret from fans, but one thing she did divulge is that you can expect Platinum features everywhere. The stage design is said to be out of this world and the tour is meant to promote Lambert’s newest album of the same name.
As for what songs attendees can expect on the set list, no one is sure. Going off of her set list from a recent show in Jacksonville, attendees can expect “Mama’s Broken Heart”, “Kerosene”, “Gunpowder & Lead” as well as songs from her latest album including “Platinum.” Will fans be able to expect the Pistol Annies to make an appearance? Sadly, no news has been released about the group’s appearance.
Thomas Rhett is the main opening act and has been an up-and-coming act for the past 4 years. Writing many hit songs with Jason Aldean may have put Rhett in the spotlight, but he solidified his own career with two singles: “It Goes Like This” and “Get Me Some of That.” Rhett is the perfect choice for vocals and energy to get the crowd revved up before Miranda hits the stage.
Justin Moore will also be performing as an opening act and has had more success than Rhett. You may know his amazing vocals from singles, such as “Small Town USA” and “Point to You.” Moore also was a guest on Brantley Gilbert’s single “Small Town Throwdown” with accompanying artist Thomas Rhett.
